Description
Discover the emirate of Abu Dhabi, a 1h15-minute drive from Dubai. This historic capital allows you to visit some of the Emirates' most emblematic landmarks, under a cloak of majestic architecture. Between marble, 24-carat gold and pearls, you'll also find Abu Dhabi's oldest fort, where the very first Emir signed the Emirates' first trade agreement, an agreement of extreme importance and at the origin of the Emirates' meteoric growth: the extraction of oil from its soil.
We offer two tours:
Circuit 1 8:30/9:30am to 12/13pm or 3/16pm to 7:30pm/20pm depending on the season (unavailable in the afternoons from March 8, 2024 to April 9, 2024)
The first tour includes a visit to the Grand Mosque. A free English-speaking guide, provided by the mosque, is available every hour from 09:00 to 20:00, at the main entrance, for a guided tour lasting around 60 minutes.
Circuit 2 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m./7:30 p.m. (unavailable from March 8, 2024 to April 9, 2024)
The second offers a self-guided tour of the Presidential Palace and a guided tour of Abu Dhabi's oldest fort. An English-speaking guide can be provided, subject to availability.
The tour will be followed by a traditional Emirati lunch, where you can choose to eat Bedouin-style on traditional cushions on the ground or at a table; then a visit to the Grand Mosque, which can be either self-guided or guided. The guided tour, in English and in groups, takes place every hour from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and lasts 40 minutes. The meeting point with the guide is at the Main Entrance.

The great mosque
Duration: 2 hours
The Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque, also known as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, is an architectural gem built under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyane. Ranked among the top 5 largest mosques in the world, its surface area of 2,412 square meters allows you to discover a sumptuous place of worship and culture in equal measure. It is the only mosque in the Emirates open to visitors and tourists.
Its construction took 12 years, from 1995 to 2007, and required the expertise, engineering and craftsmanship of several countries. Participants included the UK, India, Morocco, Italy, China, Turkey, Iran and Germany. The mosque's dazzling white marble comes from a mountain in Macedonia, purchased in its entirety by the United Arab Emirates for a unique color scheme.
Abu Dhabi's Grand Mosque also holds several world records.
The presidential palace
Duration: 1 hour
Qasr Al Watan is more than a palace, it's a unique testimony to the spirit of the people of the United Arab Emirates and their leaders. At the Palace, which is still in operation, you'll have access to the meeting rooms where heads of state are received, the banquet hall where political dinners are served, the ministers' assembly hall, where political decisions are made, and much more. Once you've arrived at the Palace reception, you'll cross the gardens in an air-conditioned bus before arriving at the immense Qasr Al Arab gate. Behind this gigantic gate, admire the incredible entrance.
Abu Dhabi Fort
Duration: 1h30
It is Abu Dhabi's oldest and most important building, housing the city's first permanent structure; the watchtower. Built around 1790, the dominant structure overlooked the coastal trade routes and protected the growing colony established on the island.
The fort, now a historical museum, tells the story of the birth and formation of the Emirates from 1790 to 2000. The personal belongings and original politico-commercial agreements of their leaders are preciously housed here.
You'll also have access to the Emirates Handicraft Museum, located at the back of the museum in an annex, where you'll be served coffee prepared by your side in the traditional way.
Lunch:
It's in a typical Persian Gulf establishment that you'll have lunch; a secret address appreciated by the Emirati people, with only locals as customers. You can choose to enjoy your lunch in the traditional way or at a table.
Breakfast composition:

Grilled fish fillet or marinated chicken
